CirkusPrinsessan – Världsmästerskap i cirkuskonst för kvinnor

Sometime in the early 1990s used circus director François Bronett in interviews in the media philosophize over female circus performers situation. As a long-standing employees and head of the Circus Festival in Monte Carlo, he had noticed how male-dominated industry was a circus in terms of artists and dressörer.

He wanted to do something for the talented female artists – such as a festival that drew attention to them and through the television medium, reached out to several countries worldwide.

Easter 1994 in Stockholm was the first female circus festival conducted. But as fate would otherwise. François died suddenly of a heart attack three months before the planned festival week. His sons Henry and Robert – who would have aided his father in making the festival producer – decided to postpone the unique project for one year.
